The Partners
Cartesius Lyceum
It is a relatively small school hosting 750 students plus 80 members of the staff. It is situated in the western part of Amsterdam. We have chosen unanimously for internationalisation as a core value of our school curriculum. That means we are very dedicated to make it possible and give space to teaching different cultures through different languages. Since 2014 we have started to participate in numerous Erasmus projects (in German and English), mostly in the field of Tolerance, Democracy and Human Rights. We are very proud to see our students be very active in the process of becoming European citizens valuing the ideas of freedom, critical thinking, tolerance and open-mindedness.
In this project about culture intermingled with history, we hope to hear, see and experience a lot of unique stories giving us new roots to settle down better in our reality and many new roads to follow in the future.
